Includes: newspaper cuttings of the column "Old Sydney" from the Truth (Sydney, N.S.W.) written by Forde under the name "Old Chum"; a volume of newspaper cuttings of "Old Sydney", no. 1-120 (incomplete) dating form 1907; a volume of newspaper cuttings, 1901-1904, containing "Old Sydney" articles, obituaries (including Judge James Sheen Dowling) and the column "On Surry Hills", 1819-1902; a volume of newspaper cuttings of the column "Australian ancestors", ca. 1904, by "Bush Lawyer", containing articles on Isaac Nichols, John Palmer, John Macarthur and Francis Cox; a scrapbook of newspaper cuttings from the column "Early Christianity in N.Z.", 1916-1917, mainly about Bishop Selwyn and his activities as Bishop of New Zealand. The volumes also contain a letter to Forde dated 1913 Aug. 29, two letters by Forde to Charles Bertie, 1918 Oct. 18, and to John Ferguson, 1918 Nov. 22, and a letter to Ferguson (1929 Oct. 24) by W.E. Bedggood.
